Sierra Club to host Zoom webinar on climate

The Southeast Iowa Sierra Club will host a Zoom webinar called “Beyond Glasgow: Our Climate Future” from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16.

“Join us to hear national, state and local climate leaders discuss takeaways from COP26 and the road going forward on climate,” stated a news release from the organization.

The panelists for the program include:

Ro Khanna, U.S. Congressman from California's 17th District.

Tamara Marcus, Sustainability Program Manager for Linn County, Iowa.

Kamyar Enshayan, Center for Energy and Environmental Education (CEEE) Director, University of Northern Iowa.

Ayla Boyle, student leader with the Climate Strike-Fridays For Future and the Sunrise Movement campaigns. Ayla lives in Cedar Rapids.

The event will be moderated by Fairfield resident Jonas Magram, chair of the Iowa Sierra Club Climate Team.
