Singing Cedars School to host harvest festival
Singing Cedars School will host its Old-Time Harvest Festival for the Fairfield community from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the school.
The festival will include entertainment, learning opportunities about cider crushing, butter churning, grain grinding, scarecrow making and creative wood piling. The festival also will include a petting zoo, scavenger hunt, live music and dancing.

Singing Cedars School will host its Old-Time Harvest Festival for the Fairfield community from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the school.
The festival will include entertainment, learning opportunities about cider crushing, butter churning, grain grinding, scarecrow making and creative wood piling. The festival also will include a petting zoo, scavenger hunt, live music and dancing.
Food will be available, including wood-fired pizza, soup, fresh-baked bread, fresh cider, and home-baked goods. A pie walk also is planned.
Admission is free, although some activities require tokens available for purchase at the festival.
Singing Cedars is a nonprofit developing member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association inspired by Forest Kindergartens serving children ages 3 to 6.
In the event of rain, the festival will be rescheduled to Sunday.
