SLIAC all-conference academic list announced for spring sports season
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released the Spring All-Academic list on Friday, June 8, 2018. Of the 197 student-athletes from the conference, Iowa Wesleyan had fourteen individuals representing three sports make the list.

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released the Spring All-Academic list on Friday, June 8, 2018. Of the 197 student-athletes from the conference, Iowa Wesleyan had fourteen individuals representing three sports make the list.
Brock Butler (SR/Palmyra, MO), Blake Forsythe (JR/Barden Ridge, Sydney, NSW, Aus), and Austin Willis (SO/Essesx, IL) earned the honors while participating in men?s golf this spring.
The Tiger Softball team had four individuals make the list. They included Julie Dodd (JR/Rock Falls, IL) (SR/Rock Falls, IL), Sheridan Gealow, Samantha McIlwain (SR/Boone, IA), and Sydnee Stalker (JR/Ottawa, IL).
The baseball team had the largest number of individuals for IW on the All-Academic team with seven recipients this spring. Austin Christian (SR/Arlington, TX), Tyler Cooksey (SR/Fairfield, IA), Nick Fencl (JR/Danville, IA), Parker Leland (JR/Parker, CO), Matthew Murphy (SR/Keokuk, IA), Alex Payne (SR/Richards, MO), and Michael Rojas (JR/West Valley City, UT) all met the requirements to earn the honors.
In order to be eligible for the All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have a 3.5 grade point average or high, be at least a sophomore, and be at the institution for at least one year.
