Smiths celebrating 50th wedding anniversary
Steve and Karen Smith of Batavia will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary at 3 p.m. June 18 at the Batavia Community Center.
Karen Rupe and Steve Smith were married June 27, 1966, at Batavia Chrstian Church in Batavia.
He is retired from the Jefferson County Law Center, and she is retired from Ottumwa Printing Inc.

Karen Rupe and Steve Smith were married June 27, 1966, at Batavia Chrstian Church in Batavia.
He is retired from the Jefferson County Law Center, and she is retired from Ottumwa Printing Inc.
The couple have three children: Steve Smith of Batavia; Tycene Weber and husband Mark of Batavia; and Mikki Rachford and husband Rick of Agency. They also have five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
