Volunteer members of the Washington County Genealogical Society were busy on Monday morning unloading historic books given to the Society from the Washington County Courthouse. Books donated included land tax records and registers from 1860 through 1930. The books will be available as part of the Genealogical Society?s collection, which is housed in the lower level of the Washington Public Library and is open to the public during regular library hours, Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
