Solitaires will meet for lunch at noon Sunday at Riverside Restaurant III in Fairfield.

Adult Recovery

Recovery meetings for adults are held at 7 p.m. each Tuesday at Abundant Mercy Church.

Coffee is served at the meetings.

Sieda Community Relations Group

The Sieda Community Action Jefferson County?s Community Relations Group will meet from 3:30-5 p.m. June 2 at the McElhinny House.

The meeting will feature a presentation on

Sieda?s family support services, which has a variety of programs to enhance the social and economic well-being of the families and children it serves.

The speaker, Becky Falck, director of family support services, has been with Sieda for 17 years and has a wealth of knowledge about the services.

Those services include: Parents as Teachers and Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation, both of which aim to educate parents on nurturing their growing child; Family Development and Self-Sufficiency, an in-home visitation for families to move into economic self-sufficiency, and also financial and food programs.

Attendees will have an opportunity to share what?s going on in their organizations and community and discuss what can be done to make their work more successful.
