Son Shine Academy annual ice cream social Oct. 7

The annual ice cream social for Son Shine Academy Preschool is Sunday, Oct. 7, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church located at 910 E. Mapleleaf Drive in Mt. Pleasant.

Beefburgers, hot dogs, applesauce, vegetables, chips, various desserts and ice cream will be served.

A free-will donation will be taken. Additionally, a silent auction will be held for several of Son Shine Academy's original artwork. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Son Shine Academy's scholarship fund and community outreach.

The local community is invited to attend, especially families of past and present students of Son Shine Academy.

Son Shine Preschool Academy is a mission of Faith Lutheran Church as a community outreach to Mt. Pleasant and the surrounding areas.
