Southeast Iowa Band in concert
MOUNT PLEASANT ? The Southeast Iowa Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the renovated Chapel Hall at Iowa Wesleyan College.
The concert is free to all students and IWC staff and has a suggested donation of $5 for others.

MOUNT PLEASANT ? The Southeast Iowa Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the renovated Chapel Hall at Iowa Wesleyan College.
The concert is free to all students and IWC staff and has a suggested donation of $5 for others.
The music will include several well known marches including: ?The Liberty Bell.? of Monty Python fame. by John Phillip Sousa; the Italian march, ?The Florentiner,? by Julius Fucik; and ?Little English Girl? by Delle Cese.
Other works include pieces by American composers Leonard Bernstein and Aaron Copland and movie music by John Williams from the 1978 film ?Superman.?
The band is made up of students and adults and includes a combination of some of the finest wind/percussion musicians from throughout the region.
The concert has an audience friendly format. In addition to verbal introductions, it includes demonstrations of compositional techniques and musical points of interest.
