Spaghetti supper supports fine arts, sports programs

Fairfield Lions Club and Best Western Fairfield Inn?s will host the annual spaghetti supper fundraiserfor the Fairfield school district?s fine art and athletic programs today.

Dinner will be served 5-7:30 p.m. at the Best Western.

?This has been a great community event,? said Jeff Courtright, the school district?s activities director. ?FHS students, coaches and sponsors will be serving the dinners. The high school band and chorus will be providing entertainment in the pool area.?

Tickets at the door are $8. FHS students have been handing out discount coupons, which will allow diners to buy tickets at the door for $7.

?The Best Western?s and Lions Club?s efforts, generosity and support of our extracurricular programs is awesome and truly appreciated,? said Courtright. ?We are very fortunate to have organizations like these in our community.?

Proceeds will be presented to the activities department to provide supplemental funding for fine arts and sports programs not normally funded by the school system.
