Spring Celebration to honor 5 people
Five people will be honored during the 42nd annual Spring Celebration set for 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment Auditorium.
Those to be honored for their contributions to the community are:
Nancy Morrissey, executive director of the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce, who is retiring in April after working in the chamber office for nearly a quarter of a century;

Five people will be honored during the 42nd annual Spring Celebration set for 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment Auditorium.
Those to be honored for their contributions to the community are:
Nancy Morrissey, executive director of the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce, who is retiring in April after working in the chamber office for nearly a quarter of a century;
Matt Stutzman, known as the Armless Archer, who won a silver medal as a member of the 2012 U.S. Paralympic archery team and holds the world record for the longest accurate shot in archery;
Karen DeAngelis, teacher and director of Maharishi School sustainable living program, who also is the garden manager and co-founder of the All Things Italian Festival; and
Francis and Susan Thicke, founders and owners of Radiance Dairy since 1980.
The program also will include announcements of quarterly achievements at: Maharishi University of Management by Craig Pearson, M.U.M. executive vice president; Maharishi School by Richard Beall, head of the school; Maharishi Vedic City by Kent Boyum, director of governmental relations and economic development for Vedic City; and the city of Fairfield by Mayor Ed Malloy.
Everyone is welcome. Radiance Dairy ice cream will be served.
