The City of Mt. Pleasant will hold its annual Spring Clean Up during the week of April 22 - 26. Spring Clean Up is a one week opportunity for residents of Mt. Pleasant to rid your home of those unusual or large items which are too big to fit into a garbage bag for regular garbage collection day. The collection work is done by Wemiga Waste. Spring Clean Up will be picked up on the normal garbage delivery day.
The city also asks that citizens adhere stickers no earlier than the morning of the pickup date to ensure scavengers don't take the adhered to item. Pile size limited to equivalent to unit 6 feet wide by 8 feet long by 4 feet tall, excludes separated metal pile. Citizens are required to use a minimum of six stickers for the entire pile.
Items that cannot be picked up are as follows:
Tires, waste oil, batteries, roof shingles, ashes, liquids such as antifreeze, household chemicals and wet paint, construction materials of any kind such as drywall, televisions and computer monitors, yard water, appliances
Things to watch for are as follows:

Carpets of all kinds can be taken, but they must be tightly rolled and tied.
