Rita Hammes, with the help of her granddaughter, reads ?Story of the First Aprons? during the Jefferson County Health Center Auxiliary Spring Tea Friday afternoon at First United Methodist Church. ?Fiddling Granny? Joanne Ancell also entertained auxiliary members with ?Aprons in the Kitchen.? The tables were decorated with an easel holding the auxiliary?s cookbook; and was given to one lucky person at each table, along with a set of measuring spoons and recipe cards. The Gift Shop also gave away a Gooseberry Patch Slow Cooker cookbook, which has auxiliary member Aleta Mottet?s meatloaf recipe. Judie Herzog made 11 quilted potholders given away as door prizes. Linda Zielinski made all of the arrangements for the tea, and several members baked the cakes that were served.
