Feb. 26, 2019 11:28 am
On Saturday, Feb. 16, families met at the United Church of Crawfordsville to wish Scott, Emily and Ryleigh Boylan safe travels as they move to Oregon from North Carolina. Ryleigh's second birthday was also celebrated since they will not be here in March for her birthday.
Those attending were Mildred Houseal, great-grandmother of Washington; grandparents Duane and Ann Lewis; Wendy, Derek, Brad and Orie Imhoff of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; Janet and Ernest Whiting of Columbus City; and Nancy, Chelsea and Clarissa Rugg and Uriah and Shannon Rugg; Jill De Yarman, Joanie Kannaberg, Luna and Eve of Cedar Rapids; Maria Sampson, Kate Kennedi and Henely of Blue Grass; Sarah, Keith, Nellie and Nora Olson of Ankeny; grandparents, Steve and Ellie Boylan from Milan, Ill.; and Tyler, Rebecca, Maya Fullerton and Amy Fullerton of Davenport.
Given the weather we've all been experiencing, clubs and other meetings have had to cancel, news is scarce.
In celebration of St. David's Day, the Iowa Welsh Society will meet on March 9, 2019, at the Pella Golf and Country Club (600 Elm St). Richard Phillips will be hosting the Society at his new venue. Info and registration forms can be found on the Facebook page or website-Iowa Welsh Society. Inquiries can be directed to phone no. 319-541-2876. Leave a message with your name and phone number.

The parade will be followed with great food and fellowship at the Legion. For more information contact Troy Pugh at 563-299-2472.
