State 4-H recognition opportunities

Ninth - 12th-grade 4-H?ers in Washington County are encouraged to get more involved and take their 4-H experience to the next level through the State Recognition Opportunities. There are many opportunities available for recognition awards or to represent Iowa in upcoming conferences on the state and national levels. Opportunities include: National 4-H Conference (ninth-11th grade); National 4-H Congress (10th-11th grade); State 4-H Council (10th-11th grade); State 4-H Project Awards (ninth-12th grade); State 4-H Shooting Ambassador Program; (National Dairy Conference.
To apply for any of those state and/or national experiences, you can call the Extension Office or visit the website at at http://www.extension.iastate.edu/4h/page/recognition-opportunities. The selection process for the above opportunities will involve: completing an application form, gathering and putting together up to five pages of written support material or a 10-minute video, audio tape, CD, or DVD and an interview on April 2, 2016, in Ames or via teleconference
Application and support material must be submitted online by Feb. 1, 2016.
