State fair honoring veterans Monday
DES MOINES ? Iowa State Fair will honor active and retired military throughout the day Monday, with discounted gate admission, special displays and a parade on the Grand Concourse.
Active and retired members of the military with a military I.D. and their spouses will receive $8 gate admission from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.

DES MOINES ? Iowa State Fair will honor active and retired military throughout the day Monday, with discounted gate admission, special displays and a parade on the Grand Concourse.
Active and retired members of the military with a military I.D. and their spouses will receive $8 gate admission from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday.
The Veterans? Day parade, an annual tradition featuring military bands, floats and more, will march down the Grand Concourse starting at 11 a.m.
The U.S. Navy Display and VA Welcome Home Booth will be set up on the Grand Concourse beginning at 9 a.m. Patriotic programming includes performances by the Iowa Military Veterans? Band and the 34th Army Band at the Susan Knapp Amphitheater.
