Curtis Stender has signed his Dealer Sponsorship Letter with Sinclair Tractor, committing to attending the John Deere Technician program (JDTECH) at Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) in Calmar, Iowa, next fall. The 21-month JDTECH program alternates between attending classes and receiving paid on-the-job training at the sponsoring dealer.
Upon graduation he will be a full-time John Deere Certified Technician at Sinclair Tractor in Washington and will receive full tuition reimbursement over the first 36-months of his employment. As part of the sponsorship, Sinclair Tractor will provide Stender with all tools required for the program and a mechanics toolbox, plus award his high school FFA Chapter with a $1,000 donation. Stender will work part-time at the Washington location prior to attending NICC.
Stender is a senior at Washington High School and is the son of Steve and Kathy Stender.
Sinclair Tractor operates thirteen John Deere Ag & Turf dealerships throughout Southeast Iowa. For more information on the Sinclair Tractor JDTECH Advantage Program, please visit https://www.sinclairtractor.com/scholarships or email Amy Bos at amyb@sinclairtractor.com.
