The Stockport Public Library will start its summer reading program ?Dream to Read? July 11 instead of the first Wednesday of the month, due to the July Fourth holiday. Children, ages 2 and up are invited to attend. There will be reading, games, crafts and snacks.
The summer reading program will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. each Wednesday.

Order of Eastern Star No. 544 is on summer vacation. There will not be any meetings until September.

Bible school plans are being made. Dates and times will be announced.

BIRMINGHAM
The Birmingham firemen served 86 people during the recent alumni banquet at the fire station.
The 50-year class was in charge of the event. Larry Miller donated three bouquets of flowers for center pieces, which were given as door prizes.
This was the last alumni banquet as the 50-year class was the last graduating class of Birmingham school.

Officers elected at the Birmingham Library were: Michele Mitchell, president; Nancy Craff, vice president; Kathy Shelangoski, secretary; and Doris Ramsey, treasurer.
A book sale will be held Saturday on the library lawn during Birmingham Homecoming.
