Stockport Lions BBQ Days set
STOCKPORT ? Stockport Lions BBQ Days, with the theme Salute To Our Farmers, will be Friday through Sunday.
Friday?s highlight will be the truck pull at the Saddle Club Grounds, with weigh in at 6:30 p.m. and the pull at 7 p.m. For information on classes, rules and entry fee, call Ken Hornbaker at 919-1587. Food and beverages will be available at the Snack Shack beginning at 6 p.m.

STOCKPORT ? Stockport Lions BBQ Days, with the theme Salute To Our Farmers, will be Friday through Sunday.
Friday?s highlight will be the truck pull at the Saddle Club Grounds, with weigh in at 6:30 p.m. and the pull at 7 p.m. For information on classes, rules and entry fee, call Ken Hornbaker at 919-1587. Food and beverages will be available at the Snack Shack beginning at 6 p.m.
Saturday events include a parade, car show, lunch, contests, games and a tractor pull.
Registration for the car show begins at 8 a.m. in 20 classes, including a new tractor class and motorcycle class. Judging is at noon. For information on classes and the entry fee, call Jeff Wetherell at 319-796-4683.
The Cutie Contest is at 10 a.m., with several different age groups. For information, call Lisa Mott at 319-288-1222.
The parade line up begins at 10 a.m. in the Methodist church parking lot. The parade marshal will be introduced at 11 a.m., followed by the parade down Main Street. For information about the parade, call Melissa Sydness at 319-796-4458.
The full barbecued lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Stockport American Legion Hall. Food and beverages also will be available at the Snack Shack beginning at 11 a.m. on Main Street.
The Railroad Museum will be open from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Weigh in for the tractor pull is at 11:30 a.m., with the pull starting at noon. For information on classes and entry fees, call Ken Hornbaker at 919-1587.
A kids? decorated bike contest is set for 11:30 a.m., followed by kids? game at noon in the Christian churchyard. Registration for the pedal-tractor pull for children ages 4-11 is at 1 p.m., with the pull beginning a half-hour later on Main Street.
Sunday?s highlight will be community worship at the Heritage Center, in the old Stockport school gym.
