Aaron Kness, president and CEO of Iowa State Bank & Trust Company, has announced that Sheri Stone, Vice President of Operations, will be retiring from Iowa State Bank at the end of February, after 47 years of service. Stone began her career with Iowa State Bank in 1973, at the original drive-in branch, before moving on to work in the operations department on the Fairfield square.
'Sheri's knowledge, reliability, and professionalism set her apart from her peers,” said Kness. 'Our organization has relied on her expertise for decades. She will certainly be missed. On behalf of the entire Iowa State Bank family, we wish Sheri good health and happiness in her retirement.”
Sheri has been an active volunteer in the community, packing food bags for at-risk, school-aged children to bring home on weekends. She and her husband, Alvin, grew up on Jefferson County farms and have been married more than 40 years. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. Sheri plans on spending her retirement moving closer to her grandchildren, reading, and traveling.
