Student awarded grant
Trent Megchelsen of Ainsworth was selected to receive the annual Recruitment Grant-in-Aid from Alpha Chi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International. Trent is currently a sophomore at Iowa State University majoring in elementary education. These grants are provided to students who have completed at least one year of college in the hopes of encouraging the students in their progress toward becoming a teacher.

Delta Kappa Gamma is an international honorary organization of women educators. . Alpha Chi Chapter consists of teachers and retired teachers from Washington and Louisa counties.
