Students awarded Indian Hills scholarships

Five area residents have been awarded Indian Hills Community College scholarships for the 2014-2015 academic year.

Derek Miller has received the IHCC Foundation Lancil Levere Hadley Estate Memorial Scholarship. Miller is a 2014 Washington High School graduate and is enrolled in the Diesel Power Technology program. Jonathan McArtor will receive the Computer Software Development Club Scholarship. McArtor is a 2014 graduate of WACO High School and is enrolled in the Computer Software Development program. Jannel Ramirez is receiving the Early Childhood Club Scholarship. Ramirez is enrolled in the Early Childhood program and is a 2014 graduate of Washington High School.

Whitney Gibbs will receive the IHCC Fine Arts/Choir Scholarship. Gibbs is a 2012 graduate of Iowa Mennonite High School and is enrolled in the Criminal Justice/Political Science program. Jan Pingol has been awarded the CLS Club Scholarship. Pingol is a 2014 graduate of Washington High School and is enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technology program.
