Sunnybrook hosting Alzheimer?s, Healthiest State Walk Wednesday

Sunnybrook at Mt. Pleasant Assisted Living and Memory Care is gearing up for the 2017 Healthiest State Walk on Oct. 4, beginning at 10 a.m.

As part of a statewide initiative to encourage healthy and active living across the state of Iowa, Sunnybrook is partnering with Healthy Henry County Communities (HHCC) to host this year?s walk. The walk will start at the front entrance of Sunnybrook. Participants of all ages are encouraged to attend this free event.

During this year?s walk, staff members and residents of Sunnybrook will be raising support and awareness for the Alzheimer?s Association. Those attending the walk are encouraged to wear purple in support of Alzheimer?s awareness and will be able to make a freewill donation to a local Alzheimer?s Association chapter. Additionally, those attending the walk will be entered to win a variety of prizes sponsored by Sunnybrook.
