Bonaparte Main Street marked its 25th year in 2015. It started as a self-initiated program in 1987 and was selected as an official Rural Main Street community in 1990. The village is the smallest Main Street community in the nation.
Bonaparte Main Street is dedicated to supporting downtown businesses and developing new businesses in Bonaparte. One of its biggest accomplishment was to successfully nominate the Bonaparte Historic Riverfront District to the National Register of Historic Places.
Bonaparte Main Street is governed by a board of directors.
Donations are tax-deductible.
