Support group starting for parents of special needs kids
The first meeting of a new support group, Our Special Kids, for parents of special needs children in southeast Iowa will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant.
The meeting will feature a guest speaker from Hope Haven, with information about its summer and weekend programs as well as its other services. As time to interact and share ideas also is planned.

The meeting will feature a guest speaker from Hope Haven, with information about its summer and weekend programs as well as its other services. As time to interact and share ideas also is planned.
The new group is run by parents for parents, with a mission to provide support, offer hope and explore opportunities.
The group will meet monthly. Children, families and guests can attend. Refreshments will be served.
