I have no doubt that our country and the world are at a crossroads with the erosion of and attack on traditional family values. We must have the courage of our convictions to protect mankind and wisely use the earth and it?s resources.
The first-in-the-nation Iowa Caucus will be held on Tuesday Jan. 3, at the Fairfield High School at 6:30 p.m. for Democrats and at 7 p.m. for Republicans. You can register or change your registration and vote when you get there but be on time as the doors will close then. Bring a valid photo ID and proof of residency as a utility bill with your name on it. You can attend and vote if you will be 18 years old by Election Day. Your vote has a big voice and influence and can really make a difference to shape the presidential race by electing the candidate that best stands for your values. It?s easy and most important and interesting!
Here are 4 steps in the process.
You will gather by party preference.
You may make and hear statements of support for candidates then cast your written vote for the one of your choice in the Presidential Poll.
Platform issues will be submitted and discussed. You may write your own, each on an official form or a separate sheet of paper with some extra copies for lobbying. There may also be prepared resolutions you may submit. It is helpful to be prepared and organized.
You may volunteer or be elected as a delegate to the county convention.
