Sustainable Living Coalition seeks public input for grant

The Sustainable Living Coalition in Fairfield is working with a number of partner organizations to respond to a Community Development Block Grant opportunity related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant would go toward the Fairfield Garden Center.

Part of the process is to conduct a needs assessment and hold a public meeting to get community input. The organization is asking the public to take a few minutes to complete a brief survey found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FairfieldGardenCenter

The mission of the Fairfield Garden Center is to provide a coordinated location and support for growers of all skill sets, with a focus on low- to moderate-income families in Jefferson County, to acquire the tools, materials, and plants needed to grow food in their own gardens, as well as education and training services to help community members grow food, cook and prepare food, preserve food, and gain knowledge about nutrition and health.
