Swedesburg to host Santa Lucia celebration
Swedesburg’s Parish Hall will host a Santa Lucia celebration on Saturday, Dec. 11.
Residents are invited to witness Norwegian Band Weaving with artist Kathleen Almelien, who will give a talk at 2 p.m., followed by a talk from Carol Foster on tatting.
The Lucia celebration will begin at 3:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the pubic. It is being hosted by the Swedish Heritage Society, and funded by the Iowa Arts Council.
The museum gift shop will be open from noon to 6 p.m. that day.
