Swimming lessons offered at aquatic center
The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will be offering youth beginner and advanced beginner swimming lessons starting Monday at the Roosevelt Aquatic Center.
Beginner lessons, for ages 4 years and older, will be from 4-4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, May 23 and May 25. Advanced beginner lessons, for ages 5 and older, will run from 4:30-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, May 23 and May 25.

The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will be offering youth beginner and advanced beginner swimming lessons starting Monday at the Roosevelt Aquatic Center.
Beginner lessons, for ages 4 years and older, will be from 4-4:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, May 23 and May 25. Advanced beginner lessons, for ages 5 and older, will run from 4:30-5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, May 23 and May 25.
Participants in the beginner class will learn the skills of going under water, bobbing, front and back float and back crawl. Swimmers in the advanced class will be taught breaststroke, elementary backstroke, treading water and diving.
Cost for either class is $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
Interested youngsters may register for lessons at www.fairfieldparksandrec.com. Registration for both classes ends Monday.
