T.T.T. society chapters able to merge

The regular meeting of Chapter L of the National T.T.T. Society met March 25, 2019, at the Olds United Church of Christ. The meeting was called to order by President Barb Shelman leading the group in singing Sword of Gold. Roll call was answered by 13 women stating their favorite breakfast. Mary was once again recognized for her 50 years in T.T.T. Sharon shared meditations from a book of devotions called 'Embraced.” The short reading was titled 'The Most Non Frantic Woman I've Ever Met.” The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as corrected. The Treasurer's report was given and will be filed for audit.
Correspondence: Marlys and Barb both shared information concerning the upcoming State Convention. Marlys also reported that two chapters can now merge. They also reminded everyone that they can now order flowers online from the T.T.T. website.
Camp Report: It was reported that three campers will be going in early June.
Charity: A motion was made, seconded and carried to send last year's campers gift cards for Easter.
Ways and Means: The group will continue to bus tables at the Pizza Ranch when available. The Friends of Conservation will meet in April and representatives from the local chapter will attend and see if they are interested in assisting with costs of sending the girls to camp.
Old Business: Barb and Missy will be going to the State Convention April 12 and 13 in Coralville. They will be driving each day and anyone who wants to ride along is welcome.
New Business: A motion was made, seconded and carried to donate to the National Project and the Iowa State Board. Sharon was thanked for being hostess, sharing meditations and filling in for Jen. The next meeting will be April 22, 2019. State Convention reports will be shared. Glenda will have meditations and Marlys and Glenda will be hostesses. There being no further business, the meeting adjourned with Barb leading the group with the Closing Creed. Opal Reschly enjoyed a visit from her niece, Marianne Sample from Hamlet, Ind., Sunday through Tuesday. Eight attended the Wyman Community Club luncheon at Ainsworth Four Corners on Monday, April 1, 2019.
Those attending were John Wittrig of Winfield; Jane Kaczinski of Washington, Ray and Shirley Hendrickson of Iowa City and Ruth Erwin, Margaret Patterson, Frieda Finke and Billie Jo Rose of Crawfordsville. John spoke of his upcoming 90th birthday on April 9 and entertained everyone with a cheer he remembered from his Wyman School days, which we won't print. Ray also recalled his 90th birthday a few days previous and told of his third. book signing held in Columbus Junction on Saturday, March 30, which Billie Jo attended. He also invited all present to the upcoming Cotter Alumni Banquet in June.
The group will meet next on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 11:30 a.m. at Ainsworth Four Corners.
