While you are in Brighton, plan to see the display ?Tea at the White House? at the Community Center from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. ?Tea at the White House? is an exhibit on loan from the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch. It has been given to Rosemary Pacha, a former Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.
Tea has a long and revered history in America, demonstrated by its consistent appearance at the White House from 1800 to present. ?Taking Tea at the White House? shows how causes were promoted and actions/reactions were spurred. This display focus is on tea and entertaining at the White House and elsewhere today.
