?The Budding Artists Show? is currently on display at Art Domestique Gallery, LLC, now through May 17.
High school students in Washington County and all high schools in bordering counties have been offered a unique opportunity to compete using parameters usually reserved for professional shows. Called ?The Budding Artists Show,? students were encouraged to submit electronic images of their work and applications. Working with their school?s art educators, they had to meet all requirements including time deadlines, size limitations, and display specifications.
Out of 67 entries, 34 were juried into the show.
A reception for students, family, and friends is planned for Sunday, April 23, from 1 to 3 p.m. Cash prizes and certificates of merit will be awarded. The event is open to the public.
