The 2015 National Day of Prayer will be held at noon Thursday, May 7, at the Central Park Bandstand. This is a call to God's people in Washington and surrounding communities to join one heart and one voice to pray for America and her leaders.
The corporate prayer event represents a diverse group of churches, faiths, creeds and cultures coming together as one voice to pray for the nation, state, city and communities and for God's divine intervention in everyone's daily life and concerns.
The one-hour program will consist of specific prayer topics from area pastors, public figures, community leaders, along with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prepared proclamation.
For more information on this event and other upcoming activities and opportunities, contact John Hartman at 319-461-3836 and Dave Watson at First Assembly of God Church, 319-653-3749.
