Todd to be new intern at Beatty & Peterseim Funeral and Monument Service

Beatty-Peterseim Funeral and Monument Service is proud to announce the addition of Nicholas Todd to their staff as a funeral director intern. He is a 2019 graduate of the DMACC Mortuary Science Program, 2017 graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and 2014 graduate of Washington High School.

He was raised in Washington, the son of Mike and Teresa Todd. He is a member of the Washington Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington Municipal Band, Southeast Iowa Symphony and the Iowa Funeral Directors Association.

'We are excited to have Nicholas join us,” says Mark Beatty, funeral director at the funeral home. 'He is a great addition and we look forward to sharing our experience and knowledge with him.”

As a funeral director intern, he is licensed with the state of Iowa and works along a preceptor funeral director for his first year. Following the internship, the applicant can apply to become a fully licensed funeral director.
