Trail triathlon in August

The Fairfield Park and Recreation Department will sponsor a mini-sprint trail triathlon Aug. 3 at Waterworks Park. The event will include a 250-yard swim, 6-mile bike ride and 1.3 mile run.

Participants must be over the age of 14; participants under 18 must have parental consent to participate. Participants must provide their own bikes and helmets must be worn.

Pre-registration is required by July 23. Registration fees for the triathlon are $35 per individual and $55 per relay team. Registration includes a free T-shirt. Teams must consist of at least two people, but no more than three.
