Trenton plans Community Thanksgiving Service Sunday

For the 32nd time the churches of Trenton will gather to share in a service of worship Sunday, Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Host congregation this year is Green Mound Church of God at 1275 Merrimac Road.

Since there is no community service planned in Mt. Pleasant, the pastor at Green Mound has extended an invitation through the Henry County Ministerial Association to other congregations to share in a time of worship in thanksgiving.

In addition to familiar hymns of the season, and a thanksgiving message, there will be a mass choir to include all who wish to sing and present “How Great Thou Art” as an anthem; rehearsal is available 10 a.m. Saturday morning at Green Mound. Persons wishing to present vocal or instrumental musical offerings are welcome, as well.

Offering received will be divided between The Fellowship Cup and Tolson Community Action Center. Refreshments and fellowship will be offered following the service.

Green Mound Church is located at 1275 Merrimac Road, just one mile northwest of Trenton. The facility is accessible with a ramp and a chair lift.
