Troop 28 earns multiple awards

Local Scout Troop 28 received a slew of awards during the organization?s district dinner last weekend. Pictured in the back row, from left to right: Jacinda Halawith, Becky Amos, Nik Holtkamp, David Amos, Jacob Holtkamp, Cole Smith and Eric Halawith. Pictured in the front row, from left to right: Liam Halawith, Jess Amos, Chase Hesseltine, Bill Dorrell and May Hesseltine. Awards received by Troop 28 consisted of the following: Rookie of the Year - Becky Amos; Spark Plug Award - Jacob Holtkamp; Cubmaster of the Year - Eric Halawith; and Eagle Scout Awards - Jacob Holtkamp and Cole Smith. The troop and the Pack 28 leaders as a whole also took home the Team Work Award and the Golden Shovel Award for most service hours per scout. Troop 28 accumulated 44.8 service hours per person.
