The Tuesday Coffee Club met Dec. 17 at the community center in Washington with 10 members present.

The Tuesday Coffee Club met Dec. 17 at the community center in Washington with 10 members present.
The program was provided by a foreign exchange student, Salome, from the country of Georgia. She was accompanied by Connie Goodwin. A country of 5 million people, Georgia is situated between Russia and Turkey. The speaker used her electronic tablet to show pictures of her country as she explained them. She also displayed a traditional dress and matching hand-embroidered cap, and the country?s flag.
After the program, members were served dessert and coffee at tables decorated with colorful tablecloths and crystal trees. Sharon Niffenegger was hostess, assisted by Connie Bauer. Roll call was answered with plans for Christmas.
The next meeting will be held Jan. 7 at the community center at 1 p.m., with Betty Flynn as hostess.
