The Krony Krew Club met Nov. 14 at the home of Kathryn Dickinson. Elaine Andeway and Kathy Meacham, both of Richland, were guests. Bridge was played at two tables. Their next meeting will be hosted by Dorothy Miller at her home in Washington on Nov. 28.
A card shower is being held for Cecil Chuck. She'll turn 102 years old on Nov. 24. Cards can reach her at Box 177, Brighton, IA 52540.
Virgil Symmonds, of Fairfield, was surprised with a birthday party on Nov. 11. His wife, Jane, successfully pulled it off with the help of their children. Virgil had attended the Iowa Hawkeyes game with his brothers. They'd stayed overnight in Cedar Rapids. Their sister joined more than 100 other relatives and friends at the First Baptist Church in Fairfield, for the surprise. Among the guests were his mother-in-law, Winifred Fritz, of Brighton, and all of her children except Rita.
Joe and Lori Fritz with Sophia, and his mother, Winifred, all of Brighton, enjoyed dining at Pizza Ranch in Washington on Nov. 10.
Visiting Winifred Fritz the evening of Nov. 11 were her children, Tony and Lyn Fritz, of Brighton, and Mary and Joel Boatright, of Fairfield. They were joined by Mary's children, Bridget Hollingsworth, of Fairfield, and J.D. Hollingsworth, of Packwood.
