Two daylily tours approaching
Two area daylily garden tours have been scheduled for the coming weekend.
The first tour will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Andermann residence, 1015 250th St., Lockridge.
A variety of 148 daylilies, among other flowers, will be on display.

Two area daylily garden tours have been scheduled for the coming weekend.
The first tour will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Andermann residence, 1015 250th St., Lockridge.
A variety of 148 daylilies, among other flowers, will be on display.
To get to the Andermann residence, follow Highway 34 east to Lockridge and turn right on Wintergreen Boulevard. After about three more miles, turn left on gravel at 250th Street. Their big grey house will be on the left side of the road after another couple miles.
Then, Lila?s fourth annual daylily tour will be noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at 2257 Marigold Blvd.
Hundreds of daylilies, some Stout Award winners, will be on display. Popular perennials include ?Big Bird,? a huge yellow daylily; ?Vanilla Fluff,? a rare scented double daylily; and ?K-2,? a neon orange flower.
For the second tour, take Highway 1 south to 227th Street. Turning left, drive one-quarter mile to 2257 Marigold Blvd. For information or directions, call 472-0227.
