Two FHS students receive Farm Bureau scholarships

The Jefferson County Farm Bureau is proud to announce the two senior students awarded a $500 scholarship to further their agricultural careers.
Nicholas Kaska is the son of Don and Jackie Kaska of Fairfield. He has been involved in Honor Society, FFA, 4-H, Band, Jazz Band, Choir, Vox Choir, Concert Choir, Track, Wrestling, and Football and plans to attend Iowa Central Community College to study Animal Science.
Brynley Allison is the daughter of Joshua and Carisa Allison of Libertyville. She has been involved in Basketball, Track, Softball, Student Council, National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and Choir and plans to attend the University of Iowa to study Human Physiology/Pre-Medicine.
Applicants were selected based on academic standing, leadership experience, civic involvement and their commitment to rural Iowa and the agricultural community.

We are confident in their abilities, and we wish them much success next year” said Jefferson County Farm Bureau President, Jason Steele.
