Two transported to HCHC after car accident at Winfield Ave.
An accident at the corner of Winfield Ave. and Broadway St. in Mt. Pleasant occurred Tuesday, May 8.
While details are unknown at this time, the driver was headed northbound on Winfield, driving at a high speed, a witness told The News. The driver ran through a stop sign and struck a telephone pole and two parked cars.

An accident at the corner of Winfield Ave. and Broadway St. in Mt. Pleasant occurred Tuesday, May 8.
While details are unknown at this time, the driver was headed northbound on Winfield, driving at a high speed, a witness told The News. The driver ran through a stop sign and struck a telephone pole and two parked cars.
The driver and another passenger were transported by ambulance to Henry County Health Center. The names and conditions of those involved have not been released.
The Mt. Pleasant Police Department and Iowa State Patrol were at the scene.
