United Methodist Women meet

WASHINGTON - The Washington United Methodist Women met on Dec. 13 at the church in Washington. Hostesses for the luncheon were Marilyn Whitenack and Connie Pence and several members brought salads. Sixteen members were present. Members discussed their ugly sweaters they wore. Devotions were given by Evie Heald using Luke 1:47-55.

The program was given by Linda Soukup and Maurine Roberts singing vocal and piano Christmas Songs. Marilyn Whitenack gave a reading Third Verse Person. The proposed budget for 2020 was presented and passed. Sally Beasley gave a presentation about the war against the war in the Philippines and their desperate situation. The Pledge service for 2020 was given and members made their pledges. Members not present will be sent pledge cards. Dates for the future announced were The Church Lunch on Dec. 15, Installation of officers on January 12 at the 10:00 service, and next meeting on Feb. 14.
