Kerm and Pat Jenkins were visited Wednesday by their granddaughter, Randi Jenkins and her friend, Josh Brase. They came especially to wish her Grandpa a Happy Birthday. Randi is an Environmental Science student at Iowa State University and came to tell her grandparents goodbye, as she is leaving to study next semester at Whitecastle University in Australia.

Marjorie Fullerton enjoyed the company of dinner guests on Thursday in the Main Dining Room. Marjorie?s daughter and son-in-law, Jocelyn and Butch Morgan; granddaughter, Anne Lovell and great-granddaughter, Samantha Lovell joined Marjorie for lunch and an afternoon of visiting.
Sue Kretzschmar celebrated her birthday in the Town Center with friends and neighbors.
Pat Bagley attended the reunion of her mother?s family on Sunday, July 19. It was held at the Wooden Wheel Vineyards which is owned by her cousin Mike Vincent and his wife, Connie. Those in attendance came from Texas, Illinois, Minnesota and Missouri as well as Iowa. Pat?s nephew Dean, his wife Natasha and 5 year-old Nicholas attended for the first time in several years as they live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Special guests attending for the first time were John Hargrave and his wife Libby Kephart Hargrave from Pensacola, Fla. Libby is the great granddaughter of Horace Kephart who helped establish the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He wrote books about camping and about the Smoky Mountains. Mike Vincent has a wine named after Horace called ?Mountain Man."
Melva Mineart and Connie Bauer celebrated their July 19 birthdays on Monday morning in the Town Center. Many friends and neighbors were there to join them and eat the treats they provided.
Back by popular demand, the musical duo Keyz and Squeeze performed in the Health Center on Monday. Rob entertained on the accordion and Jacki on the keyboard to provide a fun, interactive musical program that had residents tapping their toes and singing along.
Summer Day Care children attended kids' day at the fair on Wednesday. They toured the animal barns, looked over the 4-H exhibits and explored the activities of the day. They were happy to find the 4-H project submitted by their friend, Bella Lujan. Brady Krantz reports that the cork gun shoot was his favorite activity and Izzy Jones enjoyed the pony rides.
