?Monday Night at the Movies? featured the Disney classic ?Follow Me Boys!? starring Fred MacMurray and Kurt Russell. Set against lovingly recreated scenes of 1930s America, this family classic shines with all the warmth and humor of Disney entertainment at its nostalgic best. A nice group from Avalon Health Center enjoyed the fun!

The assisted living residents have taken advantage of the beautiful spring weather by spending a lot of time out in the Arbor House courtyard. They planted a new bush on Arbor Day and potted flowers that they chose when out on a day trip. They have cleared old growth and planted flower and tomato seedlings that they sprouted in containers. We look forward to another beautiful summer in the Arbor House courtyard.

Sybil Thornton enjoyed the 140th commencement at Drake University on Sunday, May 15. It was inspiring not only for the class of 2016, but for a bursting at-the-seams crowd. Equity, inclusion, influence with motivation, empathy and respect were Brytani Cavil?s graduating senior words. Sybil couldn?t have been more proud to be able to attend her grandson Will?s graduation ceremony. He graduated with a B.S.B.A., actuarial science/finance.
Halcyon House welcomed new residents this week. Beth Janecek joined us from her farm west of Washington. Audrey Goldsmith and her canine friend George joined us from their home in Washington.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Merle Farrier.
