Three circles of United Presbyterian Women met during April. Circle III met at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the church. Six members attended.
Leader Jane Fehr opened the meeting with prayer followed by prayers of joys and concerns.

Three circles of United Presbyterian Women met during April. Circle III met at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the church. Six members attended.
Leader Jane Fehr opened the meeting with prayer followed by prayers of joys and concerns.
Phyllis VanGerpen presented the lesson. Biblical reference was from 2 Corinthians 11:1-32. It concerns Paul's understanding of apostolic power, authority and honor. Phyllis used Lesson 8 of the study book and enhanced it with stories of her own missionary experience.
Thelma Wagner offered devotions and told of a program in Thailand called ?Women Helping Women.? She also told of a group of Christians in Pittsburg, Ohio, who refurbished homes and taught others how to do such work to help neighbors. She ended with prayer.
Jane announced the Spring Workshop, the Brownlee Hymn/Sing and the salad luncheon May 6 at 11:45 a.m. at the church. The meeting closed with prayer.
Circle IV met at 9:15 a.m. on April 8 in the Campbell Room at the United Presbyterian Home. Ten members and one guest attended. Janice Twinam served as hostess. Members brought paper products for Lending Hands.
Esther Bordwell read a thought for the day from Bishop Desmond Tutu. Davida Nicholson told of news in the latest letter from Tom Johnson, Circle IV's missionary in Niger. Tom asked for prayers for his father as he undergoes a bone marrow transplant.
Janice gave devotions that coordinated with the lesson on Economy of Grace. Addy Sents gave the lesson from the Horizon study book, closing with unison prayer.
Jane Cuddeback read the March minutes and gave the treasurer's report in the absence of Kay Hall. Jane and Betty Beenblossom offered to make brownies for the April 15 birthday party in the Health Center. Addy and Mildred Houseal offered to provide napkins and juice.
Mary McCall was hostess to five members of Circle V at the church on Tuesday evening, April 21.
Leader Jean Wells opened the meeting by reading from ?Daily Reading.? She also read ?Suffering from Sins? and Romans 8:3, Peter 2:22 and Romans 6:23. She closed with prayer.
Roll call was member's choice. The May salad luncheon will be held at the church on Wednesday, May 6, at 11:45 a.m. It is guest day and members are to bring a dish to pass and table service for themselves and their guests. The program will be the Wollenbergs featuring Celtic music and their trip to Ireland.
Circle V is responsible for the Health Center birthday party on May 20. Maxine Martin, Mary McCall and Wilma Wright will furnish cakes. Betty Colby and Jean Wells will furnish napkins and juice.
Mary presented devotions. She gave a prayer and read ?New Beginning? by Helen Steiner Rice. Mary and Betty presented UPW's organizational structure.
Betty gave the lesson. Members read a number of relevant Bible verses. Betty read information that she had researched and the lesson ended with prayer.
Hostess Mary served delicious refreshments.
