Bingo was held July 15 in the Main Dining Room of the United Presbyterian Home in Washington with 10 in attendance. Residents played one game of traditional bingo, one game of double edge bingo and one round of black out. The big winners of the day were Reid Orris, Betty Beenblossom, Bonnie Richardson and Ann Thomas.
Family trips, vacations and visits are happening all around campus. Charlane Tanner hosted her family who had come to town for the Memorial of Jody Tanner. Mary Schlatter went west to visit her family and reported to have had a great visit. Many residents are getting out to see our local fair and enjoying the entertainment and seeing the 4-H projects.
We would like to acknowledge a couple of special wedding anniversaries. Dean and Shirley Garrett will celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary on July 23. They were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Washington. They are parents of three children, all the way from Albuquerque, Vancouver, Washington and Marion, Iowa. Also celebrating a special 65th wedding anniversary on July 29 are Max and Jean Cousins. Congratulations to these couples!
Brownlee residents have been enjoying Hymn sing and Bible Study with Andrew. The weather was very cooperative and enjoyable last week. Several residents were able to be outside with staff and enjoyed the sun and a nice breeze. Family and friends have been able to visit which has been a very welcomed event.
