We have been glad to bid farewell to January and welcome February here on the campus at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. We have been enjoying the KC Halls Friday Night Fish Meals that have begun for the season. We are so thankful for the KC crew bringing us meals on Friday nights.
Ruth Zehr celebrated her 94th birthday with family and friends on Monday, Feb. 7 with family and friends. They brought Ruth balloons, flowers and cake which was shared in our own Town Center. Joan Rich also celebrated a special ‘0’ Birthday. She was very thankful for all the cards, gifts, flowers, food and phone calls!
Campus Council was held this week. A lot of good ideas were shared and our recycling program was reviewed again.
Kerr Hall enjoyed their monthly meal on Feb. 8. There was great attendance and a very good meal prepared by our kitchen staff.
We are looking forward to a Valentine Meal on Feb. 14, which will be in the Moore Dining Room. Quite a menu will be served which includes steak and shrimp alfredo. Following the meal, we will be having Ned Francis performing. Mr. Francis is a one man band that provides some great entertainment.
At Brownlee and Garrett, Rice Krispie treats with added M & Ms were made but the enjoyment of eating them might have been loved a little bit more than making them. Cookies were frosted as well with the same results. Morning Social times with donuts, coffee and hot chocolate has been enjoyed. It has been a great group with lots of visiting, reminiscing and smiles. The monthly Birthday party enjoyed cake from the kitchen. BINGO and Hymn sing with Andrew continue to be enjoyed by all.
We would like to extend our sympathies to the family of Jo Criss.
