UP Home residents enjoying the holiday season

We enjoyed the holiday season last week on our United Presbyterian Home Campus in Washington with a variety of activities. We enjoyed music of the season in our parlor with performances from Gwen Ying, Martha Chalupa, and students of Gwen’s. It was quite an enjoyable atmosphere with the fire place going and fresh treats provided by our kitchen. We also had the honor of having the Washington Middle School Advance Choir perform at Brownlee and in our Town Center.
We also got to delight in our Christmas Pageant performed by our own campus talent. It was a grand performance by all. We finished the week by having a wonderful meal provided by our Kitchen staff.
In Brownlee and Garrett, Hymn Sing was enjoyed for the Holiday season. Seasonal fudge making and eating the results was quite a pleasure. Reminiscing with Hot Chocolate was an interesting and pleasurable event. Residents frosted cookies for the Christmas party. And ohhh the Christmas Party. What a hit! An Elf and Cindy Lou even stopped by to enjoy and help with the festivities!
Now we are looking at ringing in the New Year. We will be having new classes offered in our Fitness Center, a 6-week cardio challenge, a new Bible Study Group and we will continue on with our other many favorites offered around campus.
We would like to welcome John and Marty Young and Pat DeSotel to our UP Home Campus.
We would like to extend our Sympathies to the family of Harold Wayne Chalupa.
Have a great week and a Happy New Year everyone!
