There will be a short maple syrup program on Saturday, March 23, at 1 p.m. at the Oakland Mills Nature Center. The program will consist of a PowerPoint showing how maple syrup is made and how we do things here at Oakland Mills. If weather permits, we will walk out to the Dorothy Family Maple Syrup Camp after the program. This event is free and open to all ages. Groups are welcome. No preregistration is necessary. The program 'Ribbit and Slither,” by naturalist and herpetologist Jennifer Anderson-Cruz, will be held March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Oakland Mills Nature Center. Participants will learn about herpetology and see LIVE reptiles and amphibians from Iowa. This free program is for all ages.
