VFW AUXILIARY

The ladies auxiliary to Dimmitt-Vorhies Post 2271 met Aug. 12 at the post home, with 11 members present.

The ResCare dance set for Aug. 14 was discussed, and the auxiliary provided cookies, punch and music.

All auxiliary sisters are encouraged to drop off their dues at the club or mail them to Raberta Schafer in Fairfield.

The district meeting will be Sept. 14 in Tipton.

A Christmas in July box was mailed to Abigail Messer during her basic training in Texas.

Poppy Days was discussed. Help is needed to pass out the poppy flowers Sept. 20-21. To volunteer, call May Watson in Lockridge.

Donating a POW-MIA flag was discussed.

The next meeting of the ladies auxiliary to Dimmitt-Vorhies Post 2271 will be Sept. 9 at the post home. All members are invited.
